Hey folks. I've recently done a lot of work to my 2008 Clubman including head gasket, used head, vvt solenoid replacements, timing chain, etc.

I purchased a Creator C310+ so that I could clear the DME Adaptations as I get a slight stumble at start up before the engine smooths out. This causes my check engine light to come on with misfire codes and intake timing over retarded codes.

The closest BMW dealership is over an hour away and one of the technicians suggested I try this tool.

The scan tool seems to be a great little tool (I now have three scanners), but the interface seems a little hard to navigate. I can't seem to find where the option to clear my DME Adaptations is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

With my scan tool (not the same one, so it will be different) it is in a sub-menu under maintenance I think. In the motor control electronics menu.
Honestly I had to spend a good while just going through menu after menu until I came across it. If a tech told you to use it, it should be in there somewhere you might have to dig for it under something else in the menu.
Just a suggestion, I haven’t used that scan tool.
And instead of adaptations, it may possibly be listed as “reset learned something or other”
