I bought an Innova 3100i scan tool, but i can't seem to get all the codes to pop up on it. I have the Steering lock code on my dash, but I can't reset it with this scan tool. It is an OBD2 and is made for "all" makes and models….
Anyone else using one of these?

 

You cannot reset a code if the fault is still there...
Did you fix the fault, then try to clear it?
Maybe 90+% of the codes are reset able with a generic odb2 scanner.....I used a $20 Harbour Freight one that does most stuff (sale, and coupon, was maybe $35).
Some "hard" emissions codes need a pro tool, as do some unique "manufacturer" codes.

 

One question...
Is the key/button in the ON position....but not running?

 

The schwaben tool has pulled those and find more specifics and test certain areas.
