Dipstick Replacement

I got very frustrated at trying to read the oil level on the stock dipstick on my 2008 Clubman with the N12 engine. I ordered the Cravenspeed dipstick for the Gen 2 Mini and the marks lined up perfectly with the rings on the stock one. I swapped out the dipstick and drove the car for about 20 miles. I then checked the oil. The Cravenspeed dipstick is far easier to read. If you have a Gen 2 Mini with the N12, N14, or N18 engines, I highly recommend the Cravenspeed dipstick.

I just filed some flat spots on one side of my OE dipstick and haven't have any problem with it. My 08 doesn't really use any oil though. I added about a cup in the first 2,000 miles when it was new and I've never had to add any oil since then, but I change the oil once a year. Usually 4-6k miles
