R55 2012 Clubman cooling
2012 Clubman cooling
After further review, I think my Clubman has only a high speed fan, not a low/high combo.
One troubling issue is that my Bentley manual says upon start up the fan should engage briefly as an internal monitoring function then turn off. My car doesn't do this.
Car will run fine and when AC turned on, fan runs. Has anyone else had this issue and what corrective measures we're taken?

I am nor familiar with the 2012 variety, but my 2009 had this issue. And I didn't catch it in time, and it ended up burning up the AC compressor clutch.
The fix is brilliant, and on this forum. The low speed fan resistor fried, and was replaced with remote resistor.
Search low speed fan resistor and you will find the thread.
It is possible that this isn't your issue though.

I think this is the post Jeffair10 is referring to:

I am having some issues also but the fan will run in various speeds. Mine could be the battery is failing and doesn't keep up, along with it not calling for enough charge out of the alternator. I will also check the alternator to make sure it isn't the culprit.
The car has less than 60k so I would hope the alternator is not failing already. (My clubman has less miles it than I have put on my hatchback I bought my hatchback at 120k and it now has 191k!)
