Ok, this is very weird but apparently the dipstick in my '03 MCS is about to break in half. I have never had this happen on any other car. I'm not sure how it happened but when I went to check it about a week ago, the nylon-type material that the actual stick is made of was almost broken in half. A few strands were still hanging on... enough to put it back in very gingerly. It's broken near the top of the stick. This is probably a longshot, but does anyone have a used dipstick for sale? I haven't checked on the price for a stock replacement but I'm guessing it's ridiculous.

 

cravenspeed, a NAM vendor has a better replacement than stock called the MINI dipper.$85.00 .Stock isn't much less. check it out

 

The Dealer charges $50 for a new one. The Craven Speed is way better and iis only alittle bit more.

 

I have an OEM Dipstick instock. It sells for $15.70 plus shipping.
