I've checked the bulb, bulb holder and connector and have determined that there's no power in the connector. Everything appears intact as far as I can see up into the body so my question is where do the wires run for this side of the car? I'm guessing they're probably under the rocker panel but before I go tearing into it, I need to know for sure.
Has anyone else experienced this problem in a Clubman? I know it's happened in hatchbacks but can't find any instances for Clubmans
Wow, and to think I never bothered to look at the lenses! My neighbor alerted me to the missing backup light and I immediately went to pulling the bulb without even considering it was as it is supposed to be! I wonder what it would take to enable the driver's side bulb to light? I would imagine UK lens are available.

From the Owners Manual:
On the drivers side, the bulb at that position is the rear fog light. Rear fog is an extra cost option in the US (standard in Europe, where it is required). If your car wasn't ordered from the factory with the rear fog option, it doesn't have a switch for it and the bulb will never light up. If you install a UK taillight and want the backup to light up, you'll have to run an extra backup wire from the wiring harness or from the other taillight.
Is there a way to buy the Euro driverside lens only or do you have to buy the entire light unit ? Then run a wire (jumper) from the passenger back up to the driver side rear fog/backup light ?
