Who has the most miles?

I only read threads of things going wrong with these and i understand that it's sorta what these forums are about.

But how are you liking your mini?
What year and how many miles?
How long do these things last?

I have an 08 Cooper S clubman with 105k miles, still running great!

I certainly won't win any mileage awards; my 2014 Clubby only has 18k.

Plenty of threads with positive comments and mileage posts. Just dig deeper.

We have three MINIs all work, fairly low mileage on all.

I just got a well used Lightning Blue '08 in August with 106500 on the clock now. I had to do almost $3K of work on it to get it in properly running condition but now that it is, I'm obsessed with it!

But how are you liking your mini? I like the driving experience a lot, how it looks, and how easy it is to park. I do feel like it's in the shop far too often and I'm bothered that every piece of exterior weather striping is dry rotting and that the interior panels rattle.

What year and how many miles? 2009 Clubman S with 81k, second owner

How long do these things last? I don't think I've seen many over 100k, depending on how 2017 goes I may be trading mine in before 100k.

The LXM facebook page had a similar question. I created a spreadsheet with the responses. Most of the times it was impossible to know if it was an S or Justa. Not sure how to upload an Excel file, so here are some screen shots.

2008 Clubman S Auto - 89,000k. No major problems, Although it appears to be using the oil up at about 1 quart per 5000 to 7000k. Will be replacing all the struts here soon and the strut mounts. It runs fairly well, but think it needs a walnut carbon blast. I switched jobs and will no be putting 20000k on it a year. Wish me luck

I'd be interested in hearing more stories on Countryman's with over 100,000 and the maintenance involved before I decide on a trade-in or not myself. Anyone have a 150,000mi plus Countryman and can add your input?

107,500 now on my '08 R55-S. I've probably put $3800 in repairs into it plus replacing some trim, but now it seems to be smooth and clean mechanically and physically. TONS of FUN to drive. The motor has gobs of torque in every gear and I have no problem dancing around anything else out there if I need to. Plus it looks great just sitting in the parking lot outside my office!

I pray every day that I'm past the headaches and wallet pains with it, but it's a fun car!

77K. Not too many problems. Water pump replaced and something in the rear suspension that was about $70.

Mileage Update

95,000 miles, going on 9 years. Basically sound, but using 1 quart every 1000 miles, maybe more.
I just paid $370 to rust coat the subframe which had become very rusty/carcinogenic.

I'm getting a clatter and rattle in the Aisin speed auto tranny, a bit concerning.
Replaced already the serpentine belt, timing chain, & thermostat housing.
Still, it feels almost new... if nothing breaks :-(

Black 2010 Clubman S with tan leather interior, 95k miles currently, have had it for almost three years now. Found it as a CPO with 44k on it in immaculate condition! Has been a phenomenal car, still get compliments on it all the time!

Only "major" repairs, had the timing chain covered under warranty, and had to cover the thermostat myself ($450).

Just installed Eibach Springs and Bilstein struts last week myself (highly recommend, like driving a new car now!!).

Have had front breaks and a front bearing replaced ($250 & $125 roughly each). Replaced tires last summer, my choice, stock were still fine. I changed the spark plugs myself (SUPER EASY) and install a K&N drop in engine air filter.

Love the car everyday, MPG, size, durability, quality of build, look and of course driving aspects.
