Parking lights flash

I tried searching for established threads on this topic but found none, I apologize if this topic has already been addressed. The parking lights on my 2011 S Clubman will flash when starting and randomly while running. The lights will flash in unison L & R then alternate L & R. It appears that the front & rear are always in sync. Time of day and ambient light seem to have no effect. I have recorded video but the flashing always seems to be out of sync (flash per second) with the recording speed (frames per second). There are no warning messages and all lights function normally. Whatever the issue, there appears to be no negative effects. I do not know when this started, I only noticed it approx 2 moths ago when I was behind a pickup with a very large chrome rear bumper and I started my car.

This is a link to a video. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0F...ew?usp=sharing

Any help or info will be greatly appreciated.

Random stuff like that can be signs of battery going bad. Have it tested would be the first thing I'd do.

Strange! Yes, if the battery is on its way out all sorts of weird electrical gremlins can happen. If that is ruled out of the equation, let us know.

Did you put leds in the turn signal bulbs ? Then that's the bulb check part of the LKM , when you put in leds ( instead of halogen ) , only at start up the they will do the flash and then the cop light flash. The LKM is looking for resistance in the system.

So its normal if you have leds or Ziza leds on the front. Only does it at start up for a fews seconds.

I do have LED but I made sure they are canbus to avoid errors with the computer. Oliver has an appt with MINI service on Monday to have the hpfp replaced. I will have them run diags from the service computer and update status when I get him back.

Yep, LED that are canbus still do the light dance, so its normal Canbus just keeps the bulb out error from popping up.
