Went to the car wash yesterday. The AC worked fine. The car was run through the wash, dried and given back to us. This took about 20 minutes. Got in the car to leave and the AC/heater blower motor won't blow, hot or cold. Car has the auto climate control. All the controls function properly. Lights come on blower indication shows high, but no blower. The AC clutch isn't engaging either. Got under the car with the engine running, AC ON and looked at the compressor clutch. Not spinning. The AC is charged. I've checked the fuses that had a snowflake or fan symbol next to them, but maybe there is a relay or something I'm missing. The radiator fan is working.
I do have the Bentley manual. I don't have the blower resistor as shown in the manual, there is a BLOWER REGULATOR there, but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to remove it to check it. Also, would a bad blower regulator cause the compressor not to engage?
I'll take any suggestions on probable cause of the problem, and how to remove the blower regulator.
