Recently purchased a 2014 MINI Clubman S. Went to purchase the OEM boot mat and it doesn't fit properly. The corners near the back of the seats do not have notches where there are slight protrusions in the car. It appears that earlier model year Clubmans do not have these protrusions. Also there are two slots in the rear of the mat (near doors) that seem to have no purpose. Has anyone else had this problem?

 

I think I figured out the problem. I need to check it out though. I was trying to put the mat on the flat floor, not the well underneath. I believe the mat is made for the well area.

 

Yep its made for the bottom well under the flat load floor.

I'm going to British American on Monday to make sure the mat fits properly. Funny but after going to BA the other day I went to the dealer. I had the parts guy go out to the car with me and neither of us could figure out why it wouldn't fit properly.

I have had the car two years and could never get the mat to fit right to protect the flat storage space carpet.
