Greetings all in Mini Nation.I am a New Member.Bought My first Mini Before Christmas.A 2011 Mini Clubman.Really like this Car "It is so fun 2-Drive"Trying to install Rear Cargo net behind front seats,so My beloved Birddog Amos can ride with Me 2-the park.Looked in in Manual.says hooks should be in Headliner behind Seats.I am seeing nothing 2-hook to Inside the top of the interior.Does anyone know how to install Cargo net in the back of this Car? Thank You in advance for reply...Kenneth

 

Headliner? I believe the cargo net clips to the four chrome hoops in the back on the sides of the cargo area.

I can't say that I've ever looked up at the headliner area. Like Dan, I've only used the the loops on the sides of the cargo area.

 

Thanks Rainman&Dan.I see the Chrome hoops at the bottom.I guess i am missing something Here?On Page 87 of the Manual states"Behind the front seats"Insert each part. net mounting pin all the way into its respective front mount in the headliner,arrow 1,and push it forward?Awful big net,pretty sure fits somewhere at the top..Kenneth

Nope. Nothing on my headliner. The only clue is from that link "For vehicles with
Luggage compartment package"

 

Mine (2009) clips into the "oh ****" handles in the back seat. Just beside where the suit hanger clip is. I'll try and post a pic when the suns up.

 

If the car was not ordered with the trunk room net option, you will need to install all the brackets as well as a new headliner.
I have seen this on some cars, but never installed this retrofit.

There is two sets of hooks in the ceiling for the upper mounting of net, one set behind front seats, other set behind rear seats, with corresponding chrome hooks at the front edge of rear seat cushions. As I recall, the rear lower mounting of the net uses the existing hooks in the trunk floor.
I have to assume solid mounting points already exist in the roof structure and are hidden by the headliner. Looks like an expensive install by the time you buy all the required parts.
I wish I had remembered to order this option on our new clubbie, oh well.
