Oil ?

For my 2008 Clubman R55 the recommended Oil is:
- Castrol Syntec European Formula SAE 0W-30
- Mobil 1 SAE 0W-40
- Pennzoil Platinum European Formula Ultra SAE 5W-30
- Valvoline SynPower SAE 5W-30
But <yea a Big But>.....
I go to All the Auto Parts places and WallMart and cannot locate any of these.
Some get real close but the description still doesn't match.
So What is a real part number I can trace or give to the Parts places to search for?

Walmart website says they can do site to store in one day to their Terre Haute SuperCenter. My closest one does stock the Mobil One 0w-40.

Go to 2318 Wabash Ave. Advanced Auto Parts stocks Mobil 1 0w40.

Google is your friend.

Autozone also carries the Castrol brand (The one I use).

Some even carry it in a 5.5q jug instead of the 1 quart bottles. Call and ask around.

I'm sorry but I'm just curious....it seems that Mobil 1 has worked for a lot of people on this forum and others and I've use it too is there anything about this product that I'm not aware of. I'm not putting off your opinion but I would like to know that way I can change to a better brand. Thanks

Mobil1 is the only oil I can find locally that matches up with MINI's list. I can usually find Royal Purple locally. Otherwise, I have to find a source to order from online.

Same here. I have been using Mobil 1 in all my cars and never had any issues. But you say "it is going down" meaning recently so I would like to know to change brand if I have to. I usually stock up a year's worth when I see a sale.

I"ve used both MINI 5w-30 oil and Mobil 1 0w-40 and never had any problems. If fact I think you could use any oil (even non-synthetic) and have no problems if you change it on a regular basis.

Found Oil

I found a local AutoZone with Mobile1 0W-40 European Formula.
I went to the local BMW dealership they did not have the PN I was looking for PN 11427622446 said that was a discontinued number. They gave me sold me PN 11427557012 that had the Crush washer and the O-ring for the Filter cover for $12.46 I changed last night without any issues. 4 Quarts put the level exactly in the middle of the Dipstick where it should be.

Keep discussing the Oil guys.
the rating of ACEA A3/B3 stuff is also confusing to me.
I just watch the ACEA rating and the API of SM or better.

11427557012 is the old part number which was superseded to 11427622446 .

I have been buying Valvoline 5w30 from WalMart for over 4 years. I have experienced no problems with supply.
