Regular clubman do have spares. MCS does not. You do have a well for a donut spare. Buy a donut & the pieces to hold it in.

Just bought the spare tire kit. Where can I find the jack and the like to complete it all so if I get a flat I can change it.

We have a good used one from an R50 that will work:
http://www.waymotorworks.com/used-r50-tool-kit.html

But I'll look tomorrow and see if I have any of the R53 ones that would be less parts and cheaper.

Spare is in

Got my new spare and took kit holder from Detroit Tuned and the jack stuff off of ebay. All good now. Nice fit end finish.

Its all better after buying this kit:

http://www.detroittuned.com/mini-cooper-spare-tire/

And this:

http://www.detroittuned.com/mini-spa...ray-hold-down/

Now you have a space for the factory spare, and jack storage.

If your Clubman is an "S" model, beware the spare will only fit the rear of the car. The 15" spare can't clear the front brake calipers. This is normal.

I have run flats as well. But plan to ditch them in the future.

This states that "This Spare Tire will fit in the Clubman and Clubman S spare tire well in the trunk" but does this spare fit in the stock foam tray that came with a 2010 Clubman S?

or, do I need to remove the stock tray and just lay the spare in the wheel well?

Apparently the Detroit Tuned one does not fit in the stock tray.

Confused.

The tire does not sit IN the tray. The tire mounts in well, deep end of rim facing up, then the tray I got from them fits into the rim flush with the opening so your trunk stuff all fits back together perfectly.

Thanks, So waymotorworks sells a separate foam tray similar to the one from detroitmotor? I didn't see it referenced their web site. Do you have the link?

SEE post #13 in this thread to the links for Detroit Tuned. They have the spare and foam.

Thanks - I know about the set from detroittuned but was asking if the waymotorworks sold the foam insert as well (or if their (waymotorworks) wheel fit with the stock insert)?

Chevy Cobalt Space Saver spare fits Mini

I have not tried this but read it somewhere.
A chevy Cobalt space saver spare will fit the Mini Cooper except the JWC model. Should be able to find one at the Junk yard
