Clubman dash door

Having issues opening the "secret" door to the in dash compartments. I can get it open but have to fight with it. Any suggestions?

It only takes a small push in the center towards the bottom, that should be it.

Understood however mine does not open with a small push. Have to tap on it and it will slowly start to open enought to get my finger behind it to pull open completely.

I bought my Clubbie used and the click-back mechanism on the secret compartment was broken. Maybe yours is broken. If you have warranty take it straight to the dealer.

Once you get it open, try and lubricate the mechanism. Sounds like it is binding, and I have heard of that happening.
