I had a 2009 Mini without Bluetooth. Traded it for a 2013 Clubman S with Bluetooth standard. I researched the manual and went online to Mini for help .. No luck figuering it out.

My problem is the voice button on the steering wheel does not work. Radio controls work, phone button on steering wheel does answer and hang up calls. I cannot call out using voice commands. To place call using radio controls is more hazardous than just using cell phone. Any help is appreciated.

Further explaination when I mash the voice button nothing happens .. No sound whatsoever and no effect at all on Bluetooth controls. Also, I do not have navigation on this vehicle.

 

Can you be more specific? Do you hear a beep one or two seconds after you push the button?

if you hold the facebutton down it will beep.
you have to manually enter the contacts into the voice command system, they will not read from your phones contacts.

hold the face button till it beeps and then say "help." go from there.
