Only had this car a week but I am hooked. It has already had the water pump recall done. Only thing I am not sure about is that sometimes I hear the aux pump run after I shut down and other times I don't. Is the aux water pump run time and or use of the pump based on temp or driving conditions? Just wanted to make sure no issues. For example...on a 20 min drive home for work I can hear it run for say 10 mins after I shut down. This morning I ran up to the gas station 2 mins from home and back. I did not hear it after shut down.

the sound is just the coolant being run through the turbo to cool 'em down. The turbo gets quite hot (not hot enough to cook food, I tried) but it does take some time to cool down. Now, if you don't hear it turn off for a significant time after you turn off the car, it could be a thermostat issue. But from what it sounds, its just the aux pump doing what its supposed to do.
