R55 2012 S lost radio memory?
2012 S lost radio memory?
Car: 2012 Clubman S auto. 3700 miles
Last Sunday we were doing errands. While walking around one store I was very bored waiting for my wife to finish shopping. I was playing with the key fob by pressing the button that removes the key blade from the round fob and removing the key and putting it back in. I did this 3 or 4 times. When we went to get back in the car, my radio station presets were all lost. The car started and drove normal.
I stopped at the MINI dealer on my way home today (Tuesday) to ask them about this thinking it was something I did. The service manager said it is a coincidence and there is a TSB for radios losing their memory. We hadn't driven the car since Sunday so when I got home I decided to test both key fobs before taking it in. Well, both fobs worked fine and memory presets were back to normal. Very odd. I think I'll wait before taking it in to see if it repeats.
Anybody else experience this or the loss of radio preset memory?

yes I have it happen about once every two months or so. Really is frustrating but normally goes back on its own. When it goes out I plug in the Nano and play music from there.
You can call Sirius and they can ping it for you or you can ping it from your home computer and it will go back no issue, hopefully
. An agent at Sirius told me it seems to be a real issue with Mini.
Also post in the nav/audio section and you will get more answers
