R55 POLL: What's Your Average Clubman Gas Mileage
most definately! wintertires are a soft compound and add significant rolling resistance. I get 42-43 in the summer on michelins and in the winter I get 38-39.. Plus when its cold, it takes much longer to get to operating temps.
Scarlet sips...
2012 Clubman, 6MT
7,700-ish Miles
80% HWY / 20% Surface Streets
SPORT Button (not on... still figuring out what it's for. *don't flame the new MINI owner)
I drive the 65 speed limit most of the time unless a redneck in a Mustang or a Dodge makes me do otherwise!
90 Octane/no ethanol
33.3 MPG (bought the car w/6,500 miles on it 8/12/13 @ 32.4MPG)

I own a 2011 Clubman auto non - S and do mostly non-city driving as I live in the corn fields of Illinois. I never use the S mode button and only use 89 oct fuel with the standard 10% ethenol(?) and have just turn 40,000 miles. Since I keep track of all the fuel and mileage, my average over 40,000 miles is 32.6 mpg.
My car has the standard 15 inch rims but for about 10,000 miles I had the Mini lite 17 inch wheels and it reduced my gas mileage 3 to 4 miles per gallon due to the increase weight of the wheels and tires.

A little tip, for those who didn't realize it -- you can reset the MPG calculator by holding down the trip computer button. I have a Mazda that has the same feature and didn't realize I could reset it until I got the Mini.
2013 Clubman, BRG (the ONLY color). 2100 miles. 16" run-flats (don't like 'em much) and a manual tranny. No turbo, but no stranger to 5500rpm... I am averaging 33+mpg, calculated. Didn't I read it in the owner's manual that the OBC keeps numbers based on the last 18 miles driven? I noticed that the last tank of gas the OBC said 36.3mpg and the calculated number for the tank came in at 32.9.

More seriously, that sounds about right for heavy city driving. Too bad MINI doesn't make a hybrid. That would be awesome for city dwellers.
My guess is that you are doing a lot of starting and stopping. My city driving varies from about 18 to 27 mpg depending on how many stoplights I'm hitting.
annnnnd....
the ethanol free gas is gone for the winter down here... i am back to 40mpg... a 4mpg loss hurt cause of the stupid corn lobby.
there is one station around here that has it, but it is 50cents more per gallon than 93octane corn gas, i did the math, its not worth it.

33 Miles everyday, 10ish street and 23 highway, average mpg by the time i fill up is between 28-30 (depending on how many pedal to the metal moments I have in sport). Street driving typically in non sport mode, highway and empty straightaways on streets i'm in sport mode.

2009 Clubman S, 60k, has never been walnut blasted. Normally I run 29-30 mpg (about 3-4mpg worse with winter tires).
But on a recent highway run from east-central PA to eastern MA, we averaged 34.6. Woot! A new high!

According to Fuelly;
106 fill-ups
48 % - City
52% - Highway
28 MPG average
On highway trips in the Southeast, I get anywhere from 31 to 33 (driving around 75 - 80).
The best I've ever seen was around 35, computed by me.

I'm guessing my short 10mile one way commute each way dosent help my MPG...
About 50/50 and I am getting around 28mpg calculated. Ive noticed that turning the ignition on and off puts a huge dent in the MPG. So jealous of the people that are getting close to 35 combined.....

Still better than my silverado I traded in , it got 12 and 19 and
my Trans Am was 9 and 24
Seems my driving style causes low city MPG
WOW! are you people driving your cars? I have a 17 mile commute highway each way and then run around town daily stuff. 2009 Clubman 60, 000 miles turbo manual shift. regular tires and i dont run with the sport mode on much. guess you could say 50% city 50% highway. My avg is 28--29mpg. sometimes a bit less sometimes a tad more into the 30-31 range.
