Guestimate On cost to color-match c-pillars?
I'm messing around in the configurator, and the color I'd like is not one of the handful that allows color- matching the c-pillars to the body. ( Ice blue). I prefer the look without the black or silver trim. Anyone done this at a local bodyshop?
TIA
TIA
I had mine done for $100 each side. The top of the bumper was $100. The top c-pillar panels were painted jet black for an additional $50 each. I had everything in silver (as you can see by the roof). Best money spent so far. I can't stand the Clubman black/silver paint schemes.
Another bodyshop wanted $1000 to fo all of it LOL.

Mini//m The price youpaid was unreal. You really got a deal. I am going to take all the lower matt black off [wheel trim and rocker panels and front and rear lower trim ] and paint to match body color in a matching BB/CC. Just the base coat color cost nearly $300.00. That does not count epoxy primer, and clear coat. I can do the paint no problem but can't find any hints on removing the wheel arches. Will post pic went done.

Thanks for posting that pic. That's the way I've ordered mine and Zi haven't seen any examples of it other than on the configurator.
The Mini configurator makes all the Clubman rear views look terrible.

I have the silver roof, which is okay, but I'd like to take the black c-pillar idea in the back and extend it into the bumper area like it is on the "Hampton" model clubbies. Also, I won't have to worry about color matching the Ice Blue ... btw thanks for the estimate. If my dad was still painting cars, I could have had it for the price of the paint and slave labor! Oh well ....
Painted rear bumper and light surround.
I have seen several people do this and I plan on doing this myself. the link below shows a White Clubman with the painted white bumpers and rear light surround painted, plus he has the option rear top bumper guard, which I have and plan to install once I get the rear repainted.

IceBluesCat - If you want black c-pillar/bumper pieces, you might also check prices with your dealer parts department. It might be relatively economical to purchase black replacement parts and just swap them out.
mellocooper - I had the roof of my Clubman wrapped in white by ToddsMods at AMVIV; it was around $500 IIRC. Looks like it came that way from the factory. Don't know why MINI won't build them like that.

As far as the lower c-pillar (tail area) and top bumper trim you have to get an estimate from a body shop to get it paint-matched.
Looks great, now that they are actually offering this in the configurator domestically in the US... I still want to do it on my pepper white... though I'm annoyed at no chrome trim strip at the color terminus...
I have an extra set of A-pillar chrome trim strips. I have to find them. I wanted to see if when bent if they are even long enough. Regardless, getting the lower C-pillars and top of the rear bumper painted will be one of the most noticeable mods you'll have on your ride. On the brighter colors it looks even better and the nice part is you already have the black upper C-pillars.
Body shops will charge alot less if you just bring them the pieces to paint as well. I just got all my door handles, belt line, emblems, plastic black pieces(wheel arches, rocker sides(JCW Aero Kit) and front/rear bumper pieces to glossy black. If they did it all(not taken off), it was about $1300. Since I took everything off(except belt line), it was $600.
Bumpers and C pillars
MAACO has a special repaint your bumper for 200.00. I checked with the local shop and they said if I just took the metal pieces off that are around the tail light, (so they could paint them) they would do both for 200, since they would only have to paint the top of the bumper.
