Are there any dealer programmable options that we should know about and have done before we take delivery or can we do these ourselves later?

Are there any dealer installed options that are a must have?

Welcome to the MINI family.

There are many "features" of the car that can be changed by use of the stalk controls, just read thru the manual and you will see.

There are also many "non adjustable features" that can actually be programed/changed by dealers but they will not do it for liability reasons. But many of us here have figured a way to make these changed. Search on NCS Expert in the Modification section and you will find a number of threads on NCS Expert. Thanks to all the members here that have figured all of this out
