I have a 2009 clubman s, and for about 3 months now I have been getting a creaking noise coming from pedal area. It only happens as I accelerate in first gear. I did get into an accident about 7 months ago. When I brought my car into the dealership, they told me that since it has been in an accident, that warranty will not cover this issue. Has anyone had this problem? The noise is very annoying.

 

Does it sound like it is winding up? Because my '09 S Clubby does it too when I accelerate. I just got used to it over time. That and my stereo is cranked up half the time. But if anybody does know what it is and what to adjust/fix. I'd like to know. I have not been in an accident though. It just started doing this back in January. Just never took it to a dealership to look at it.....half the time they just shrug their shoulders.

 

I wouldn't describe it as a winding sound. As I accelerate like the dashboard is pulling away from something, if that makes any sense. The creaking is occurring more frequently. Now is second gear and when I hit bumps in the road. Very annoying.
