R55 Lowering spring recommendation - 1"
Lowering spring recommendation - 1"
I'm looking to clean up the wheel gap on my Clubman but don't want to lower the car as much as some of the springs will go (1.5"+). I also want to ensure the rear doesn't sit lower, which I have seen on a number of lowered Clubmans. Unfortunately there also seems to be a limited number of manufacturers who offer R55 springs.
Any recommendations? It's my daily driver. Ride comfort is important, I'd like to keep the stock feel or better and improve handling (which most springs will do in my experience).
Thanks,
Todd

I can't make a recommendation on which springs fit your needs, but I can let you know that the NM springs for the R55 will lower the car by 1.2" and the rear will sit lower than the front. In other words, don't buy the NM RSA springs.
Those are the exact springs I was thinking of when I wrote my post. It's too bad as I think NM makes great products.
TSW Springs are about an inch. http://www.waymotorworks.com/tsw-min...6-r55-r57.html
I haven't visually noticed my rear being lower than the front on my R56.
