SO...the adventure is over-

Re-installed the stock exhaust already.

And yes, you are all right:
1. Its my car
2. Its better than a motorcycle
3. I lost my pair (of glasses)
4. blah..blah.blahhh

But, when your wife is louder than the exhaust, the choice is easy.

Remus was nice, deep, subtle.

Hopefully she wont notice the 1.2" inch drop with NM springs i'm planning...hee, hee, heee.

thanks for all feedback

Are you going to post this in the marketplace? How much? I'm sure you'll get some takers.

I'm interested if selling. If I have any cash left after my speeding ticket!

Crap you guys beat me to it.....Is it for sale?

Buy her a spa day...and while shes there put the exhaust back on, she'll forget allll about it just make sure you turn the car off and push it into the driveway or back out down the street before you crank her over...You know, kinda like what you had to do when you snuck out of the house when you were a teenager as soon as you got your license

WTF is it with American men? Have every last one of you been emasculated by your women? If this is your car, tell her to go pound sand. She already has complete control over the house, the kids, and the finances. And you're gonna let her dictate to you what you do to your ride?

Man up, dude...

I got a ticket for having an exhaust that wasnt stock last week. Yes there is a statute on the books for this. Im not changing it FTW! Wives fall below the LAW on people you HAVE to listen to. LOL! Sorry you had to go through all that. Keep the exhaust and put it back on later after you take her to the beach or something...

I'm enjoying the marriage advice in this thread

I'm 27, I've been with my girlfriend for 3 years now. We live together and will probably get married. In most things it is easier to defer to her when it comes to household stuff, furniture, decor, etc. If we both paid for the car, she would have a say in what I did to it.. but the car is mine. I pay the loan, insurance, and gas, so the toys are my call. We considered "sharing" a vehicle but I decided I was no good at sharing.

Been married over Twenty Years. Wifey has her vehicle, I have mine. I drive hers on rare occasions and she never drives mine. We are in complete agreement.

And there's the gent (happily married for over 20 years) who mentioned to me that early on he realized he had the choice between being right, and being happy...

LOL I let my husband to what he wants to do (usually not car mods...more like sci fi stuff) and he (mostly) lets me do what I want to my car. Although he won't let me lower it.

Just get him the Doctor Who DVD sets and then when he's not looking, drop it on coilovers and act innocent.

The exhaust is going on my car, not soon enough!!! If it's not too loud in the cabin, I may do a resonator delete also, after running it on a few road trips to Las Vegas and back to test it out...can't wait for it to arrive! I had looked into NM, Magna Flow and Alta and like their sound clips, but want to keep the cabin a little quieter than their systems. Remus ought to do the trick...

I spoke with many friends here that run street/bullet bikes and Remus is one of the better and perhaps best designed pipe/exhaust systems for bikes, and has a strong reputation and ollwing in that market. Their presence in Europe is large as well. This is one of the many reasons I am going wth the Remus,as a quality reputation proceeds good products. I expect great results from this system.

Uh......the words "tells me" don't compute. The words "get rid of ___" do. You fill in the blank. George Carlin refers to this as the "pusification of the male species". Don't let it happen!!!

You can't divorce her

If you Diviorce her she will and up with your car (And mostly everything else)

It was wise to just put the stock exhaust back on.

Installed and working well on my Clubman . I can't hear anymore cabin noise than I heard before with the stock exhaust/mufflers. It's slightly louder outside the car with a nice deep sound at idle, and cruising at 85 is quiet with no drone or excess cabin noise. Love the soft rumble at idle.

This system installs easily in about 20 minutes, simply unbolt the rear muffler hangers, measure, mark and sawzall off the old pipe/mufflers, slide the new REMUS mufflers on, re-attach the hangers and adjust and tighten the pipe clamps. A clean and easy install!

It's staying on my car!
