from what I've read its really difficult, at least for a R55/R56, as the centre spedometer doesn't show both km/h and miles/h. You have to install a whole new centre gauge cluster from BMW before they will provide you with the certification needed to register in the province. This along with duty, and other border/custom/I'm not sure fees make it sound as if a $20,000 US mini would end up costing at least $25,000 CDN. Plus I'm not sure what the state of the warranty would be to boot.

The deal that I have found on the clubman S, well I priced out a 2011 with all of the options on the us mini website and it said that the cost was almost $33,000 before freight/pdi etc. I figure for $31,900 it is a great deal.

If anyone has recently imported a mini from the states and wants to correct me on my figures and tell me that it would be way cheaper, I'd love it as I'd love to be able to import a mini from the states.

 

But wouldn't the digital speedo suffice? Case in point - Civic

 

Cars.com list 225 Clubman's for sale. Perhaps try there for a used Clubman.
