How do you like that steering wheel? I have the same one, and don't really like with thicker wheel rim, makes for a smaller hole to see the full tach and LCD dispaly. Can you show me how you mounted that scanguage? Is it full visible?

I guess that question is meant for me.
I definitely like the feel of the thicker steering wheel. I feel more connected. It is a bit more difficult to see the gauges. The shift light can block some of the OBC as well. Right now I have the steering wheel in a position that is comfortable for me and I can still see all the gauges. I've mounted the scangauge fairly high, so I can see the whole display, but not too high as to where it would block part of the windshield.
The feel of the steering wheel outweighs the possibility of seeing the full display at times. An aftermarket steering wheel (like Sparco) would have the same effect. At least now I don't have the urge to go shopping for an aftermarket steering wheel right away

Oops, sorry... quoted wrong post. I guess I like it too, but I'd be interested in the same kind of wheel, but with one that's open on the top. May come across is a bit ricer which would suck, but there'd be function to it.

Summer (negating new scoop mod):

Winter Setup:

had mine since late June 09 (drove it 4th of July wknd to Lake Placid, NY from Philly)

New Mod = JCW CF hood scoop (whilst driving down the highway the OEM scoop flew off; rather than wait 5+ days for a newly painted one; I opted for the CF scoop)
Winter Setup = 17" Black Crown Spoke wheels + Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3 (non-RF)

Other Mods = leather JCW wheel (made huge diff in handling) & JCW side scuttles (hated the crap chrome OEM), JCW Sway Bar in engine bay

waaaait... virgina (your location)?

I recognize those photos... that location...

that's where I picked up my MINI from, in RI!

They always put the new MINI in that spot and then go over everything before you drive it off, he he.

YUP, I took delivery of the car from Pete @ Inskip MINI in Providence . They were awesome. Much better experience than my local dealer.

I drove 22 hours roundtrip to get it! Yes, my name is Mike and I am a MINI-aholic

Question for you guys: I want do add silver sport stripes, but should I keep my bonnet scoop Horizon Blue or go to a Pure Silver scoop???

My 06 Checkmate JCW had a silver painted scoop and silver U-stripe from the factory which I rather liked, but I'm not sure which way to go with the Clubman.

Very good lookin' in black. I'm not much for how often the blacked out look is played out, but it'd look good on that thing! Very nice! Enjoy!
