And here's a shot of rmse46 's Clubman. I spotted his car, and then later on he spotted mine as we returned from the parade.

 

Nice pics! It was a beautiful day and a great event as usual. I was standing just inside the fence between T1 and T2 during the parade laps, thinking what a moron I was for not getting myself into it with either my Clubbie or my BMW! Next year I'll be smarter...

BTW, the blue vintage Mini you have pictured was a real giant-killer, wasn't it? That little guy was really hooked up. Great to watch it hounding the Astons.

 

That would be Group 4 winner, David Reid! Yeah, that was totally inspirational, watching him chase down the Aston Martin and win the race.
I got a huge kick out of being a new member of the MINI club after that... just one more reason the whole weekend was so memorable.

I can't wait to pick up my new D-SLR camera when it comes in stock next month. I had to take these pictures with a point-and-shoot digital of the "3 second lag time" variety. It was challenging to guess where the cars would be three seconds from when I pressed the shutter! Mostly I aimed at an empty section of track, anticipated the cars, pressed the button and prayed...
