How do you remove the chrome beltline pieces from the barn doors on a Clubman? The rubber strip below the chrome on my passenger side door is ripped and I have replacement rubber, but I don't know how to pop the chrome off (and back on) without damage. Looks like it should just pull off...

Replying to my own thread - I'm just going to take it in for service. I've been wanting to get the sunroof "fixed" and have the whistling water pump looked at anyway. The best news - MINI of Sterling can get my car in on October 5th! Talk about speedy service!

 

The dealer should relace the rubber strip and belt line for free. There is a know problem with them.

Dealer replaced ours under warranty

 

I can live with the issue until MoS can take care of it, so I don't think I'll call Passport. Are they fast? I will look at them for future work.


I didn't know this was a known issue, but I do expect it to be covered by the warranty, even if my car is the only one that has ever had the problem.
