That's hilarious! You should've said it only cost 12k for the stretch work.

Forgive the late response on this, but hows the REAR legroom in the clubman when you and your wife (or daughter) are in the front - i'm assuming the front seats are pushed back far, what's that do for rear leg comfort?

Thanks

legroom is not a problem for rear seat. however if either front passenger likes to motor with seats in the lowest position the rear passenger has no where to put their toes.

You're right ... rear legroom in the MCC is a skosh crimped when the front seats are set all the way back. However, for short drives the MCC can accomodate 4 people. For us, when our daughter's home from college we seat 3, but most of the time there are only 2 people aboard. With 2 people aboard the MCC is both comfortable and an absolute blast to drive. We've had ours since Dec '08, it now has about 3K miles, & the more I drive it, the more I look forward to driving it. We continue to get interesting responses and funny reactions, and I know the MCC is a success because I'm seeing more and more of them on the road. Joining the MINI family remains, as of this point in time, one of the better decisions I've made.

Awesome, thanks for the responses. I drive an 04 scion xb at the moment, which has room for 4-5 NBA bb players, and am considering a clubman s. I'm not tall myself (5'8), but my gf (of 5 years) wants me to get something that's comfy for road trips too, etc (for 4 people sometimes)....

I guess the best thing to do would be to get in one, sit in the front and back, etc, and see how it feels... thanks for your feedback, great site and community here too! If I do get a css, its for the love of the car - not for the mpg, so don't worry about that...

The best way to get the feel of a MINI is to test drive one. Before we got ours I didn't give the MINI much thought. After my wife convinced me to take a test drive with her I was hooked. We went to the local MINI dealer and drove Clubbies with a stick and an automatic. We placed our order that very day. Many people go for the stick but we opted for the automatic, and it's been a great choice. I love the simple elegance of the MINI interior, the layout of the contols and most of all ... the performance and handling. Our MCC just "eats" twistys and I now understand why people like doing the "Dragon." I haven't had so much fun driving a car in years. BTW, how many NBA players do you plan on hauling around? <grin>
