Any other Clubman owners have a similar experience?

When I step down on the gas pedal
and hold it down to the floor for
about a minute and a half,
My 2009 Clubman goes
really fast.
Anyone have a similar experience?

Who said anything about 60?
I'm doing way better than 60
after 90 seconds.

So Roderick, how fast are you going after 1.5 minutes of flooring it? Specifics in MPH please.

Well it ought to be at the max speed well before 1.5 minutes of flooring it.

So how long does it take you to hit the max speed of 125mph for a JustaClubman?

I knew it!
I knew there was something wrong with my car!
I'll alert the media.
And thanks for telling me.

Of course I'm doing 125 sooner.
I just don't like to drive faster than that.
My cruise control might not work.

I know that it takes less then 5 seconds to go from 65 to 95 when scooting around a "Discourteous Richard", aka "left lane ****".

Yeah, me too. My wife says she will drive me wherever I need to go after I lose my license. She is so kind.

I found that the faster I go the BETTER the gas mileage!
Yesterday - began the trip on some twisties in Northern Maryland (Gunpowder State Park), I was at 28.5mpg when I entered onto I83 south bound..
I83 South to Baltimore Beltway, down I97...ran fast..ended with 31.3mpg - I will go fast to build the mpg in the future.

Personally, I find the real fun with my new Clubby comes after the car is up to speed 40+++. Just like it's cousin, BMW, neither is much to write home about until you can open them up on the highway. Both are designed to be smooth and fast at higher speeds.

There's no way I could get in 1.5 minutes of Floor action where I live but it sounds like a blast!

Oldsbear - hold on to that wife! She's a keeper!!

I'm amazed this thread is still alive and breathing. Mondays must be lenient around here.

I didn't have the same experience...until I swapped out my regular antenna for a stubby one, and now I know EXACTLY how you feel!

Einstein wrote something about small things moving faster in a relative manner, or something like that; anyway it seems to me that the world outside of my mini is moving faster while at the same time the world inside my mini is so calm and peaceful...

I seriously doubt the OP floors it for 1.5 minutes either, but we all have our fantasies don't we.
