Advice from parents out there

Can anyone give me a direction on car seats that will fit in a clubman? I plan on getting a mini in June and my DS will be one in aug so one the is a convertible would be great.

I don't have any personal experience, but search turned up this thread on the same topic:

I have a Britax Marathon, and it works great. My daughter is 16 months old, so she's sitting in it forward facing. There's a ton more room in the back of a Clubman versus a regular Cooper, so you really have a lot more options when it comes to forward facing car seats. My partner (who is 5'11'') is able to sit in the passenger seat and have it back almost all the way while leaving room for our daughter's feet.

The Marathon is a convertible seat, but I haven't tried it in rear facing mode in my Clubman. My sense is that it would fit just fine, but you would definitely need to bring the passenger seat forward some.

They all fit in the Clubman. I have two kids and have had all kinds of carseats. A Clubman has a "normal" backseat. Buy whatever you want.

In my experience, these Britax carseats fit fine in the Clubman (Or hardtop):

Britax Roundabout/Diplomat

Britax Boulevard

Britax Frontier.

As you probably know, it really depends on the age of your kid(s). I have a britax for the 2.5 year old, and a Recaro booster for the 4.5 year old. Both fit great, but the Recaro fits REALLY great. The big deal with the Recaro seats are that they have headrests that make it easy for kids to fall asleep without having their heads droop down.
