List your loaner car!

Just felt like having some fun. I know it's sad and painful having your poor Clubbie sitting in the dealer repair shop for anything. However, I heard of some MINI owners ranting and raving about the LOANER cars they were "stuck" with while waiting for Bubba to finish fixing their cars. If you were given a loaner, what was the model and color and was it a non-turbo or turbo? Did you feel sad having to hand the car back? How long did you keep the car?

I got a blue 128i auto from the dealer for a week while I was waiting for my clubbie to arrive. Given the fact that when I turned it in is when I got my new clubbie, I couldn't have been happier getting rid of it. Although it did say "Year one of the 1" around the start button was very cool.

Had a 08 BMW 328i for a day a few days ago. I hated it. Interior felt standard and nothing really jumped out at me except for the fact that it consumes so much more gas than the Clubman. I was excited to have the CLubman back.

Last summer our Clubbie was in the shop for a day for a leaking intake manifold. They had run out of loaner cars so they had Enterprise bring a car over. All they had was a 2008 Chevrolet 1500 Crew Cab pickup. Talk about a switch. Since we had driven pickups for years before it was no big thing but a lot different than driving a MINI.

1st oil change on the dealer's nickel today.

Even though I didn't purchase from them they graciously loaned me a Sparkling Silver MC (non S). I got to drive it about 10 miles as my car was done within a few hours.

An overall good experience.

Our Clubman has been in twice for warranty work. The first time we were given a 2009 x3 and the second time we received a 2009 328xi. Both were loaded with all the bells and whistles. I liked both vehicles if I should ever replace my Land Rover I will look into one of those. I contimplated getting a MCS for myself and becoming a two MINI family, but we really need a larger vehicle at times. I hate to say it, but there are somethings the Clubman will not be able to carry.
