Of course they would use a Clubman. Every robber knows they hold more loot than the regular Mini Cooper.

 

Those robbers watch too many movies (also w/ MINIs )...crime never pays!!!

 

All I want to know - was the Clubman harmed in anyway during the robbery?
If there was any harm done, I fully support capitol punishment, possibly tie them to the rear of the clubman - place it in sport mode and GO!

 

And to think they called it "brown".

I know it's not really humorous but I think many of us are envisioning a new version of The Italian Job.

Speaking of bank robbery.... just read today about a paraplegic that robbed a credit union in Fla and put the cash in his prosthetic leg.

 

I think they owed the local mob boss a lot of money! The fact that the Clubbie was found abandoned (a Clubbie is not exactly a very affordable car) makes me think it was stolen. Do UK Clubbies come with a ignition cutout device? If it was 'nicked' as they say over there, I'm glad the owner will get his/her car back in one piece. I read a sad story about a girl in London who spent a chunk of her life saving up for a MINI and it was stolen out of her parents' DRIVEWAY only a month after she bought it. Her father admitted to the reporter that she spent a lot of long nights crying in her sleep. THOSE creeps deserve to be hit by a car.
