comfort access system

Hey guys and gals,
I'm about to order my clubman this week. I'll be getting the comfort access, and I've read post mentioning getting it programmed by the dealer. I've looked, but can't find what all it can be programmed for. So, my question is what are all the things if can be programmed for.
thanks.

Based upon my experience, the dealer programming that was referred to in posts was for the earlier model cars, not the R55/R56 models. Items programmable on these models can be set by the user.

comfort access cannot be programed by the dealer.

Depending on what you mean by programming, yes you can program it yourself. My MA (actually the F&I guy as my MA was at home dealing with an emergency) walked through most of the interesting settings. You can set things like the behavior of a momentary turn-signal-stalk touch, if and how long pathway lighting stays on, whether and how you want the system to acknowledge you've locked the door, which doors you want open when you unlock via remote, whether you want them to automatically relock if you open via remote but then don't actually open a door, what radio stations you want preset, what nav displays (if relevant) you want (icons of interest displayed, or bare map? Map facing North or map facing direction of travel - that sort of thing). It's all covered in the manual, but the dealer will probably walk through some of them mostly to teach you how to use the programming function. Once you know how to view, select, and confirm settings you can then run through them all at any time and make changes later if you so desire. I have the nav so I use that interface. If you don't have the nav, they'll show you using the stalk interface and tach display.

You'll love the comfort access. Walk up to the car and push the button and your door and or the passenger door unlock. as for all the lighting and stuff, I have not figured that out but my MA asked me what I would like to have set and he did it for me. I think the individual keys can be set for various features so spouses can have it their way.
