A newbie just to say hi!

I finally received a confirmed production date from my SA today after 2 months of wait. My scheduled production week is WEEK 45! DUH! I know, this sucks. Guess I'm one of the unlucky ones who need to wait longer than other people...

Is there a way to find out when the next few ships leave the port? I doubt if I can get my Clubman by Christmas...

Click on search by ports on the right. Select origin as Southampton, United Kingdom; and destination as Port Hueneme, CA. Figure it takes 3-4 days from the end of the build week to get the car to port and you can take a pretty good guess at what ship you'll be on.

May I ask where you're from?

 

I am ordering a US spec, but live in Germany.....

The reason for the long *** wait is due to the fact that I am waiting for the sports package and Midnght black paint color. Neither of which starts production until December. So, I am hoping week of 50 or 51 and won't know for sure til its closer

 

WOW! I ordered this week from my dealer on pretty much the same car you got and I'm going into production the exact same week. Week 45! Weird!

I can't seem to find a Week 45 group do you know if one exists?

Guess this is one of the worst things about living in California

 

I live in California, ordered this week, called ASK MINI today and was told that my production week is 45

Well... ask South Bay Mini then. I know I'm tired of the waiting but I don't wanna bug them anymore. I placed an order in mid-August but they didn't have slot to place an order for me until late-September... and I didn't get my production week until 2-3 weeks after that...

 

Yes, I paid at MSRP. Closest to me dealer (Mountain View) asked +$1500, so I've bought in Pleasanton - they matched an offer I've got from Concord (and located on halfway from me to Concord)

 

This makes me more frustrated

I thought So Cal was better than Nor Cal in terms of premium charges & waiting time... guess I was wrong.

Just called 1-866-ASK-MINI, I'm still on order with an "unconfirmed" production week of 45 which can be changed at anytime.

 

I can completely understand your frustration! It could be that your dealer is just super popular and all its spots ran out. I was told by my MA that each dealership is allotted a certain amount of orders, so it would make sense if your dealership had placed a lot of orders.

Let me get this right you guys are paying premiums on top of MSRP?

 

Hell no.... definitely no premiums.

When i first placed my order, the sales manager told me I was on #199 on the list and I was like "WTF?" But I can live with that 'coz I am not in real hurry (we're currently living in an apartment with one tiny little parking space... gonna move into our new home with 3 car garage in late-Nov/early-Dec.)

I'm just feeling upset because almost everybody has a shorter waiting time than me.
