Any interest in a new Countryman?

I have always wanted a Mini Cooper Countryman but never got around to buying one. When the new Clubman came out I bought it with the hopes that someone would bring out a wood kit to turn it into a countryman. I know there is a company that has vinyl panels but I want mine to look like the Countryman which just had wood outlines, no panel inserts.

Last Saturday at Wavecrest, the national woody show, I came across a beautiful classic Countryman that belonged to "The Wood'n Carr". I phoned them to see if they were interested in doing a Mini Clubman and they said yes. They asked me to have some sketches made of what I wanted and they would give me a price. I am currently doing that but would like feedback from anyone else that would be interested.

I'm not interested but good luck, it's a good idea. Hopefully they can do a real wood inlay that sits somewhat flush, vinyl never looked quite right!

There is already acompany doing this for the clubman and if you look at this picture you will se what i mean

Here is a link to a company that make "Woody" Kits for Mini's,, I do not see a clubman on the site but i am sure they would make one for you

http://www.vwwoody.com/Products/bmw_...i003/mi003.htm

And here is another article for a "Woody Clubman"

How about a Mini Pick Up

And then any local Vehicle aign shop should also be able to do it for you.

Wood panels works on classic vehicles, not on new vehicles in my opinion.

Wish I'd known you were there. We were actually at the show too - had both of our Morris Minor Travellers on display. Just as you went into the main parking lot - the Snowberry White and Smoke Gray (light blue in my siggy) next to the bluff by the beach.
