OK, dont know how many of you "S" owners out there have experienced the "melting hood scoop" problem, but it has reared its ugly head upon my car. Called the dealer and he is aware of it, said he would order up a new scope and have it painted and ready for me with no issues...
OK the other option is to switch to the carbon fiber... I asked about this and he worked out a deal, $275 (incld tax) installed. I could then keep my old scoop, then later on bring it back and get a new red one. That way I still have a red stock one, and could sell the carbon fiber in the future... Now money is not that much of an issue (would rather spend it on performance than looks), but I am not so sure about how the carbon fiber scoop would look. I am not trying to add any wild color schemes, and would rather keep as much red as possible, but I guess it might not be too bad either... What are all of your thoughts??
Oh, and I also have ordred the turbo wrap from Way Motors, so even if I stock with the free stocl hood scoop I shouldn't have to worry about the scoop melting in the future..

If you are already getting the Cover Wrap then i would just stick with the dealer getting you a new red one. It sounds as if you would rather have that than the carbon fiber look any way.
But you could get the carbon fiber one and have that painted. I don't know why anyone would do that but it can be done.

yeah I think I will stick with the stock for now. The carbon fiber could be painted, I will go down that road if I run into more melting issues. I think I will stick with the stock look since the carbon would add to much color that I dont want.
