It's important in the UK, where numberplate cloning is an increasing problem.
Some piece of low-life steals car > browses on the web for a pic of the same make, colour, etc., > checks with the number plate registry that it has valid insurance > makes plates for that number and fits them.
Now he has a copy of the car that appears to have valid insurance and can speed, park illegally, drive through congestion-charge zones and crash with impunity. All at the expense of the real owner of the registration.

HC seen today at lunch in Newbury Park, CA (SoCal). Just finished telling 2 idiots at Daphne's that yes, Clubmans are 'butch enough' (to use the idiot's words) for men to drive...to come out and see this beauty!! Too exciting! Took the picture so the plates wouldn't show
Parkerton - add one more for me!

I saw 3 Clubmans yesterday!
1st was a Pepper white with Blue stripes. I didn't get a picture, but will try to soon. (I think he lives one neighborhood over)
the 2nd one was the JCW Clubman I mentioned seeing last week. it was parked outside a Bookstore in Huntersville, NC yesterday. nearly pee'd my pants! and got this tiny little picture.
I now have iPhone envy to add to my Clubman envy. as my cell phone camera is really pitiful.

Congrats to Jameszimo and fertile-turtle for getting on the board!
FYI, if it wasn't clear, you'll only get awarded one point per Clubman. So if you have the same Clubman parked in the same spot everyday, you can't take pictures of it each day and get points. I would think that would be obvious, but I know some of you out there...

I'm in, but in all honestly I only had to walk down the street to get this pic as it resides in my neighborhood. Though I should get some credit since this car has tortured me for over two months and I've changed my route home to pass it while I await mine. Sorry that I did not get more of the Clubman features in the pic.
