R55 Can we have an M.S.R.P. ONLY thread, PLEASE!?
I've been doing my research calling around different dealers to see who's dealing M.S.R.P. and who's not. As I was making these calls I thought to myself what an invaluable tool it would be just to have a thread dedicated to M.S.R.P. ONLY dealers to save those browsing on here, members and non members the stress of having to call the dealers and hear the frustrating news that one dealer or another is charging boozuka buck$ over M.S.R.P.
Thanks,

As for SoCal dealers selling at M.S.R.P.:
1) South Bay MINI
That's it.

P & W Foreign Cars / Mini of Pittsburgh is offering for MSRP as of the beginning of August when I picked up my Clubman S.
They're really good to work with as well as offering a free years membership to their motoring club. a membership which includes track days and auto-x days I believe...

Is Amanda the mid 20's blonde girl who has the table next to the JCW Clubman? If so, she quoted me February as well HOWEVER, I was told by another individual that mine would be coming in November, and this was when I put the down the $1k in late July. My MA told me 2009 was when the Convert. Coopers were coming out. Great, now im panicking...time for a xanex...
Oh, and Mini is Las vegas is MSRP. I was really considering them too.

There's a dealer in Fort Worth? Are you talking about Moritz in Arlington? We ordered a 09 Cooper S @ MSRP on Sat and got $500 accessory allowance, Mini of Dallas only offered $250.
You must also consider the extra fees that some dealers charge (above the DMV registration/title fees). One dealer wants a $350 "processing fee" (says it's non-negotiable, corporate required fee) while another charges $150.
Even though they sell at MSRP, they are still hitting you with a markup.

MINI North Scottsdale is MSRP. They have a brand new building of their own now and it looks great. Ask for Drew for a great MA. No pressure and he is just great to work with. He had patience with me for the entire two years waiting for my Clubman.
Are all Minis California certified so it can be brought into California if you purchase it in Vegas?
From searching other posts it does look like Mini makes "50 States" cars.

WHICH DEALER IS THIS!?! And when did you order it?
There is another thread for California dealer markups:

I bought mine at Brecht on 6/21 for MSRP but my MA told me when he called to give me the prod # that they were adding an additional 10% effective 1 July. I don't know if they did or not. They insisted that ALL their cars are ordered with Lo-Jack and Permaplate for $1700 although one person told me they managed to get out of it - I guess I didn't try hard enough.

YES. All MINIs are 50 states emission-certified. No problem buying out of state; although you do have to have the vehicle smog tested before registering it in CA...and a Vehicle Verification by a peace officer, CHP, or DMV employee.
Last December I read in the British forum that they expected long waits for the Clubman after the initial spring intro. Whatever the wait is, it is totally worth it.
At Las Vegas I received MSRP, though there was a $400 doc fee. Not sure if that is BS or not. I couldn't talk my MA out of it (said it was required in NV) but he did throw in floor mats. Overall, good experience with Dennis there. Plus, my build is last of the '08s so the price was actually cheaper than an '09. Figured even with a flight to Vegas and any hassles re: smog check and CA DMV, it will be worth it to be motoring come October.
Amanda is super nice. I was about to order from her at South Bay. She quoted a February delivery. On a whim I called Las Vegas and they had a slot open for production starting the next week, so I jumped on it. I told Amanda I had gone elsewhere and she said, "as long as you are out motoring in a MINI, that's all that matters." I thought it was a classy thing to say since I didn't end up ordering from her.

Mini of Murray in SLC Utah is a MSRP dealer. If you go there ask for Juan Coles, great MA. I flew down and he picked me up in his mini at the airport on his day off. Had a rather fast ride to the dealership. YAHOO!!
