R55 Can we have an M.S.R.P. ONLY thread, PLEASE!?
I paid MSRP for my Clubbie. When I placed my order, all of the three N.J. dealers had the same pricing.
With the closest dealer to me being 35 miles, then 47 and 62, shopping for price is not very easy. There are not enough dealers here to make for competitive pricing.
I would have had to reconsider any deal where dealer fees were included. As others have noted, the dealer is making tons of money off of these cars at MSRP.

I came close to placing an order for a Clubman last weekend (NorCal bay area), but walked away when the dealer wouldn't come down to MSRP (originally quoted $2K "market adjustment" reduced to $1K with maybe mats included). Maybe I should have asked to see what kind of floor mats are worth $1000
I really want a Clubman (and this sounds selfish), but I don't see any upside for me to pay a charge the dealers tack on just because some folks buying on emotion are wiling to pay it. There is plenty of profit for the dealer in the car at MSRP plus all of the packages and dealer options in my configuration. Markets change and, in this economic environment, buyers need to stretch our $$ as far as we can. I still see a Clubman in my future, but not as soon as I hoped

From what I have been seeing, it appears that the California dealers are a greedy bunch. If it's not too far, how about trying points east, as others have noted?

Ferman Mini of Palm Harbor (Tampa) Florida is MSRP. They are one of the highest volume dealers on the east coast, but all of their inventory for August September and October was totally sold out!! (we got one of the oct slots thank god) Our MA showed us the list of the cars they are allowed and they accually were bumped up to over 200 a month, and cant even put any on the lot because of the high demand!!
long stoy short, great service, our MA is really awesome (his names Rollin), and they were all MSRP

Orlando's DTM is $389 + MSRP (bad enough, I know
