R55 Anyone using a cover on their Clubman?
Anyone using a cover on their Clubman?
I've never used a car cover before. Always figured they'd be a PITA. But, I've never owned a MINI before.
So, for the days I don't drive, I'm considering one. The MINI outdoor cover (not the woody one) looks pretty nice, and MossMINI sells the "Stormproof" one that is also custom fit. So, I'm looking for impressions/opinions on covers in general, covers on the Clubman, and these two covers (or other suggestions).
TIA!

Drive my Mini to much to even think about a cover.
But my BMW on the other hand is covered 80% of the time. I can not get a garage/car port on my property and the cover is the next best thing. It keeps the bird poop and daily rain mess off of the car and make it look good when I have not used it for two or three weeks straight.
IMHO it would be a good idea if you had one for those days when you are not going to use it.

We dont have a garage and bought a Noah custom cover for our Clubbie. We don't use it everyday, but if its just been detailed and we want another day or 2 of it being clean, we put the cover on. Also, I like having it in case of bad weather or having to park it while we are away on vacation or something. Hubby researched and came up with 2 good ones: the Noah and the Evolution. The Noah took about 2wks, and it fits very nice. Its not waterPROOF, its waterRESISTANT.

Does anyone know if the covers for the Clubman work with the roof rails or does it fit too snug? Seems like it should work... Also, the above link for the Noah covers does not include covers for the Clubman. Which cover would anyone recommend and a link would be appreciated if it's not too much trouble. I may go with the basic outdoor one from the dealer...
Thanks! Storm is coming to Seattle, I have a carport but would like a little bit more protection for her.

I have two cats and a carport, and winter is coming. Muddy pawprints have already been a problem--a cover is a necessity. I purchased the Noah cover through my dealer, but I haven't put it on yet--I'll report back with how it goes...
Question for the summer months: does a hot turbo = a melted cover?

Noah cover
I've been using the cover for about a month now--VERY easy to get on & off, takes about a minute either way. As you can see from the pics, a car in my carport becomes a feline recliner, and they tend to forget to wipe their feet. The claws don't help, either.
...oh, and I do have the roof rails, so that's not a problem. I have noticed that really strong winds will tend to start pulling the cover off. There is a grommet on each side near the bottom edge (near the back edge of the doors) for a bungee to hold it on securely.

I am perturbed by using a car cover just because the Clubbie gets dirty too fast from driving. With all the dirt from driving, dragging them across the car with a car cover(while putting it on and off), makes my spine tingle. :P
Yeah, that has occurred to me...just another reason to keep it clean!
