R55 Laser Blue Clubman Owner's Club
Thinking about lowering it slightly. Other than that, and possibly some side graphics, I'm where I want to be with it.
The runflat Conti''s that came on my car were surprisingly quiet and smooth, ntil you hit a pothole or expansion strip or something - then they are very stiff.
The Kumho's are really smooth and the quietest tire I've ever driven, expect to get about 25K out of them before they have to be replaced. They're not the best in snow, but wet or dry weather grip is superb and very progressive.
I only paid $84 ea from Tire Rack, but replacements are now about $10 more. I'm strongly considering the new Conti DWS to replace them as they're now pretty worn out. I did the majority of the mileage on them when they were on my '03 JCW, which I recently sold.
Hey all
I'm preppin' to order a LzB ClubbyS and have a question about the roof color. I really like the Black on LzB because I think it ties things together in the barndoors section. However, I'm undecided on the roof, whether to go LzB or Black. I fear that the Black will heat up like the surface of the sun in the summer (live in VA). I also love LzB so much I think I should cover whatever surface I can. But, MINIs all have contrasting roofs, that's what makes a MINI a MINI to me (well...one of the reasons). I also love the look of the black bonnet stripes with the black roof/trim/grill (getting the Sports Package). I keep leaning towards Black, but the blue..ahhh
Totally undecided, obviously
Anyone have their specific reasons of choosing one over the other?

A couple of shots of the new baby...
It was a long three month wait, but it's finally mine - and I love it! I'm still in the break-in period, which is making me nuts, but this is truly an amazing car. Can't wait until I can really put my foot into it!

My mini and my monster...
Hello all, new here.
Just got my new-used MINI about a month ago and love it.
Went from a lifted Toyota FJ Cruiser to the MINI.
Got it from....don't laugh....my ex-wife.
She was going to trade it in for a new BMW X3, I guess she broke her back last year and its now painful to sit in the MINI, she offered it to me for what the dealer was going to give for trade-in value.
I think I got a great deal at $18,200 for this 2010 with only 19k miles on it. She paid $29k when she bought it.
She had the checkerboard added when she bought it....at first I kinda didn't like it but now I really do like it, adds a nice touch.
Currently have the overhead switch assembly torn apart and adding the homelink mod shown here in other posts, and have a BMW INPA K+CAN cable on the way to mod alarm light, and maybe a few other things....
So far been a great car, especially going from a 14MPG lifted no handling FJC to a slot car like MINI getting 31MPG.
Got the run-flats on it now, and they need replacing, but since I am into offroading, I already have the 12v compressor and patch kit ready to go when I swap out to non-runflats.
Here is a pic of 'MINI-Blue' standing in the driveway next to my wheeling rig 'Big-Blue' ; a 1997 Tacoma on 35" tires with every mod you could think of on it. Kinda funny that my Tacoma is on 15" rims and the MINI is on 17" rims...
