I think it might be a more interesting pool as to whether your MA gets back to you with a definitive answer. The answer exists......he may just not find it or tell you about it.

Mine is $750 more as a 2009, but the HiFi stereo came with the Premium Package in 2008 and is a $500 add-on now. Based upon what I've read (I don't have the car yet), I probably wouldn't have ordered the HiFi stereo upgrade and my net would've only been $250 more configured the same. Of course I would have opted for the DTC, the new rear spoiler and the wood steering wheel; resulting in a end-cost of at least $1000 more.

All-in-all I'm still happy with a 2008 and that I will be getting it within three weeks. I've heard that, in my area, the wait lists have only grown since I ordered back in May.

I'm gonna do the same, except with a Sawzall and some bungie cords.

I didn't notice that Gotham Grey went away! I was considering that until I found out I could marry BGR with HC interior, even though the configurator would not allow me to do it, but my car is built and waiting for transport, so I guess its a done deal.

Black with Ray Cream cloth looks pretty good and might really play well for those who like that look but hate leather seats. I am curious why pacific blue went away, it looked great inside and complemented the blue exterior.

With a Sawzall and bungie cords, anything is possible!
You should see my new JCW front bumper assembly installation!

I would take a picture, but I think my camera is buried somewhere in the front end of the car. (I haven't lost it.....I know where it is.)

Noticed that Sawzall reference earlier - we have one, too! Great sense of humor and of the absurd, Rich!

OK here's the deal: all this is apparently too new for the powers that be to have sent down a missive on all the details...so I will wait but in the mean time I have submitted 2 questions at this portion of the MINIUSA site http://www.miniusa.com/?#/contactFaq/contact-s
1. With the 2009 Clubman you are showing "Roof Rails" as an option (under Performance/Handling) - will these rails be able to take the place of the Roof Rack Base & Install and thus be able to use the Roof Box and other items showing on the configurator under Racks and Luggage?

2. Will these "Roof Rails" be able to be retrofitted to the 2008 Clubman MINIs that have already been delieverd to customers?
We shall see who gets the answers to me sooner - or to anyone else.

Is the Sport Package price listed?

I couldn't find it. I would think I would hold off on doing price comparos until that information was made public. Also, not available until Dec? Lots of people will wait to order won't they?

Well.... I spoke with my friend (MA!) at the local MINI store and they know little or nothing about the new options. He said that this stuff hadn't been rolled out to them yet. He was hoping next week to hear from MINI as to what's going on.

Regarding those roof rails, he asked me to play it by ear. They aren't doing 09 orders yet. He said they have two months (approx.) to order an 08. So the new parts may not be available yet.

I just checked - the sport package isn't available at this time. not sure what that means for the future but not at this moment. It does say that it will be available in December.

Yep, the price of mine went up since I wanted the comfort package but I'm very happy to have the roof rails! After all the forum talk about racks, and needing one for my bikes, what a great solution!

You guys must keep your eyes on the never ending Roof Rack thread:

Now on to calling the dealer parts dept to see if i can get a part number.
I guess the information is slow in coming out to all the dealerships?

I much prefer duct tape and lock tite.

What do y'all think about that new rear spoiler?

unless I'm missing something, the sports package, when it eventually becomes available, no longer includes the sports suspension on either the S or non-S Clubman. can that be right?

Wow we got screwed on the convenience package. Auto-dimming mirror (the single stupidest invention ever)? Armrest and multifunction wheel are extra now? Huh?

I don't know if this is significant or not, but in the last few weeks, there have been some changes on the Canadian configurator:

The Cooper S Clubman is gone, and there's a JCW Clubman available for order. Dunno if that just means that the Cooper S Clubman is sold out for 2008.

You can still get to the Cooper S Clubman configurator. Just change the URL to suit. I think they ran out of space in their drop down menu or something.

$200 + here - not bad in view of what I'm sure are spiralling production costs...

Heading over to the roofrack thread to hear what's going on w/the rails now!

I built a couple new Minis yesterday.
The JCW Clubman is new and the site doesn't plainly list what you get for $+30k base.

Some of the Clubman Packages have been revised.
Probably as a result of what we've ordered and whined about. The prices for the components are the same if your order piece meal.

for all U noobs, the MINI configger is always buggy the first couple of weeks. IOW, tally up yr totals manually. I built my 09 MCSa and it showed n/c for the 16" Bridge spokes in silver; why they would charge $750 for white ones is beyond me, and could be an error. check with yr MA.

If you're interested you might want to check out this thread on MINI2:http://www.mini2.com/forum/future-va...i-aaron-6.html where on page 6 post #108 there's some specific updates noted. Although I put a link to this on the never ending Roof Rack thread, I thought I might bring it to your attention here...because not everyone reads the roof rack thread.

I don't remember exactly what my MSRP was, and I'm not home to check on my sticker, but mine seems to be about $750 more for 2009.

Glad I didn't wait!

$500 of the bump is the DSC becoming standard. I'm actually pleased with the new price given the worthlessness of the greenback.
