As usual, this write up conflicts with another recent reviewer's release.
This guy likes the barn doors.
The other guy didn't!
This reviewer drove the 117 HP Clubman.
Opinions are worth what we pay for them.
A person hates the design or loves it. The latter becomes an owner, like me.

I never drove a Clubman, but did drive and order a ClubmanS.
Wicked acceleration it has! About 50% more HP in the S than the non.
177 vs. 117

Its an opinion and everyone has one (some are worth more than others). I have to say that I like the Clubman in both the S and non S version. I just ordered the non S because of the fuel savings and insurance savings for me compared to the S. Like anything else some people hate the Clubman and some people love it.

Wow, the negative comments really annoyed me, and I am not easily annoyed. They are entitled to their opinion, though!

Counting the days 'till m'Lady arrives!

I ~like~ the less than favourable reviews right now. Helps keep demand down until we take delivery of ours. These reviews will have "johnny wannabe" go for a Prius or whatever other flavour is in vougue that day.

Ya either get it or ya don't.

Unless things have dramatically changed from when I insured MIB, the increase in insurance cost from MC to MCS was negligible. What kept me back was the difference in base price.

Should have went MCS.

After driving R56 and R52's I fell in love with the clubman. I actually found most of the review funny. The first thing I liked about the club was the ding sound. Drive a VW touareg for a few days and tell me what ding is better. Oh well we all bought them so we must see something we like.

Clubman bonus:
It's rated as a station wagon by the insurance companies.
I noted that when I looked up my VIN on Google during the build stages and Carfax popped up with the general info.
This week State Farm mailed the new insurance card/packet:
Mini Clubman S - STATION WAGON
Sweet! That drops rates a bit.
