Every time I try to open it, it just pops up and then instantly pops right back down...has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you fix it?

Take it back to the dealer. A month or so ago I had a Cooper Clubman loaner equipped with the power sunroof and it did the same thing. Other times it got stuck for no reason and failed to tilt and open. Very annoying.

I am glad I don't have it in my car. Add the fact that it lacks one touch opening, this sunroof is not cracked up to be given the admission price.

 

I noticed that too. It is getting stuck and it takes about 4 or 5 times of trying to open it does it actually function. The first time I noticed it is when I tried the "holding the unlock button" to roll down the windows and pop up the sunroof and it didn't open. I need to call the dealer as well because I am having the same problem.

A bunch of us are having similar issues and it appears to be outside temperature related (not sure if that is causing yours though).
