R55 The Clubman Bugs and Fixes Thread ... Officially Unofficial
Heard from my SA today regarding the "weeping" or leaking washer jets - and he has ordered the check valves to be delivered overnight.
Turns out that the newer models have them. Whatever newer means. If anyone is interested: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...50#post2387850
so my interior and puddle lights don't come on anymore when opening the doors. is this something that can be setup manually from the computer?
interestingly enough the barn door puddles and cargo light do come on.

Interior and front puddle lights are controlled by the Footwell module and the rear barn door lights are controlled by the Junction Box (fuse block) so they are on different circuits.
There are only 4 fuses that supply power to the footwell module F5, F8, F47, F48.
Check the fuses and see if one of them is blown. If they are all good then I would have the dealer check in to the problem. It could be a loose connector or a problem with the footwell module itself.
In my 07 MCS, the interior/foot well/puddle lights are controlled with the roof mounted toggle switch. If I hold the switch for about 5 seconds, they won't turn back on until I hit the switch again, no matter how many times I open/close a door. Try hitting the switch and see if they resume normal operation.

there is only a chime for the doors if the ingition is on and the door is open ... nothing for the barns that I know of if the car is just on.
otherwise, if you are driving, there are dash lights that go on if any of the doors are open,
My clubdoor does not open sometimes, more frequently on hotter/more humid days. I have to bend down and pull out the little lever thing at the bottom for it to catch, it doesn't seem to be extending all the way.
When I flipped the driver's side sun visor down to secure the sun shade, the entire mirror/light assembly completely fell off. I'm guessing it was never completely secured on. I popped it back on, but now the lights don't come on. Ugh, I'll have to make another appt. with the dealer.
jaxson, The Clubman and the MINI no longer use the CVT, so no worries on that one. I drive the new automatic that came in my Clubman and it's excellent. No complaints at all.
Kimbo80, that's a first for me - as in I have never ever heard of this in all the years I've been reading MINI faults and fixes on various forums since 2003. One for the record books and hope it gets fixed asap!

Noticed something that's annoying me today...
I recall reading somewhere (the owners manual maybe?) that if listening to the CD player and you get out and go back into the car, when turning on the radio/cd player back on the radio jumps to the beginning of the track. This was nice and all once today, but started getting annoying after that. I was listening to a lecture, and each track is a good 15 minutes long, that I had to listen to that track from the beginning every time I got back into the car, and I don't know how to not let that happen. Maybe if I switch the tuning to the FM/AM/iPod before shutting off, then go back to CD when turning back on it won't jump to the beginning?
