I have a Sun roof Question. Can it be programmed so that when the button is pressed it will open all the way, or do I have to hold the button to get it all the way open/closed?

 

I don't have sat/nav so I am not sure if the programming is different but I don't see a way to program the sunroof to auto-open like the windows. With one bump, though, it does ratchet up to its first angled position. fwiw.

 

You have to hold the switch. I forget where I read it but I remember seeing someone post that this was because Mini was having trouble sorting out the pinch protection software for the sunroof. May or may not be true but it is odd not having one-touch open and close up top as well.

 

This is one of the few baffling things about our little guy...

I want to open the sunroof and need to be either cruising along or at a very long stop light if I need to do it myself.

interesting....my '04 MC has one touch opening...well, actually 2 touch: one push opens the sunroof as a flip opening and then a second push opens it all the way.....surprising that they changed it
