Finally sold my other 2 cars so it is time to get my Clubbie ordered.
I have decided on color, the only thing I am on the fence about really is to add the sport susp or not.

I am going to add aftermarket wheels anyway so I don't car about the wheels in the Sport PKG. I will add the factory fog lights too.

Is the sport susp to harsh if you will only be driving regular roads and really not ever pushing it other than maybe a few mountain roads?

I am get the Auto tran and I know the sport pkg changes the way it shifts too.

Pros and Cons of the sport susp?

 

We've got the Clubman S with the sport suspension and automatic. In my opinion, I think its a little harsh. I believe alot of it has to do with the runflat tires though. If you are going aftermarket wheels and tires, don't go runflats and buy a spare for it. I am just waiting for the day to be able to pull those tires.

I have never been in a non-sport suspension Cooper though, so I am just comparing it to our lowered 2006 Mustang GT, a Suburban, and a lifted GMC 4x4. They are all smoother. I just think on the So Cal freeways, its harsh. Just my opinion.

 

Had the sport suspension on the two previous S's and I am glad I don't have it in the Clubman. Still handles like a go-kart, but ride is not as harsh! Save the $, I'd say!
