R55 Clubman rear room
Yes, the rear seats fold flat.
I am 5'7" and have on occasion slept in the back of my old Ford Explorer or Taurus Wagon (when it was either too rainy or too late to pitch a tent).
As for sleeping in the Clubman and answering the various questions that arose: no the front seats do not fold all the way flat; when the back seat is folded flat there is a gap between them and the back of the front seats (left in the position I drive in) of several inches. The rear headrest only comes to the edge of the rear seat when down (the Fords extended past the bench when flat).
So, from the inside of the barn doors to the end of the rear head rest (when folded down) is about 45"; the diagonal from the barn door to edge of the folded seat is 55". At 5'7" I am 67". Going on the diagonal I fit on my side, and while not curled into a tiny ball I do have to tuck my legs up. I guess you'd gain several inches if you jammed a duffle bag or something in the gap between the front and rear seats to extend the flat surface.
So, not the comfort of the Explorer (which also allowed for skis and lots of gear back there with me)--but in a pinch sure I'd sleep there; but I've also been willing to sleep on the floor of airports in Asia and India so take it with a grain of salt.
