It sounds like most on the forum have loaded up with options, but has anyone seen or ordered a completely base Mini? The options are appealing, but they seem to drive the cost out of my range.
Will the dealers let you special order one? I think the only option I would buy would be the auto transmission.
I could be wrong, but I don't think resale will allow you to get much back on the options.

All Mini's are great, the car is very capable with no options. I've said it before on this forum, if DSC and MFSW were standard, I could get a no option mini off the lot and be totally happy. Just go pick out the color. With DSC as standard on the Clubman, all you need is MFSW and you are set to go!! So you are looking at base price +250 for MFSW and you are set.

When I ordered my 03, the only options I got were the MFSW and the factory bonnet stripes. Love my car as much today as the day I picked it up.
For a real stripper car, Penn Gillette (of Penn & Teller) has 3 stock Coopers (not MCS) that are running the 15" holey wheels, and have been painted "Stripper pink".
