Did you get NAV on your car and do you have functioning Voice Command?

We got our HC/B Clubman S a few weeks ago and were told the Voice Command software is still being developed. Note that we do not have Blue Tooth and that may be the reason.

Anyone out there have successful Voice Command without Bluetooth?
I did put this on the NAV forum but got 0 response.

Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the reference Otra.

I think maybe few Clubman cars (Clubmen?) are here yet with the voice and traffic functions working. The ones just coming in should be OK I hope. I would like very much to hear from a new owner that the functions now work.

William,

Does your car have Bluetooth?

About when was it built?

Thanks.

We picked up our Clubman yesterday. We ordered it with nav and the Bluetooth and USB/iPod adaptor. I'm still sorting through all the different functions and settings and everything I've tried so far seems to work.
I just went out to the garage, opened the manual to the voice commands, pushed the button on the steering wheel and spoke to the car. I was pretty surprised when it answered in a different voice than the nav guidance but it did do what I asked.
I haven't tried pairing a phone or using the Bluetooth yet, so I don't know if that'll work, but at least in my car with Bluetooth installed, the voice command system works.

Since you just got your car it is possible that the problem on the production line was solved when your car was produced.
Or it may be that it was never a problem with cars specified with both NAV and Bluetooth. We probably have to hear from more people to know what is/was going on.

Thanks for the response.

Yes it has Bluetooth and it was built end of 2007 I think. I got it since half of January.

Deja Vu. My R56 MCS Coupe was built in April 2007 with NAV and Bluetooth. When it was delivered, voice activation didn't work. About six months later I took it back for a software upgrade and now VA works fine.

How could MINI have messed this up with the Clubman?

I have the NAV and Voice Control and works fine...
Also, I have PDC and you see a Clubman on the screen... That's a good design point!

Mine arrived at the dealer on Feb. 16, picked up on Feb. 28, Nav works fine with voice...

Still have to read up on how to properly work the Nav though...
